Cooking Facilities

The kitchen in your room has been equipped with the cutlery and crockery you may need to use during your stay. Should you wish to make use of the cooking facility in your room please contact reception by dialling 9 on your in-room telephone for us to deliver this to your suite.

 

Dining

Tempt your tastebuds with a variety of eateries available within the estate including Guild, Café del Sol, 19 by Michael, The Farmhouse and Family Table. Please access the various menus available on the dining tab. Please contact the concierge to make bookings by dialling 9 from your in-room telephone.

 

Golf Carts

The hotel has a golf cart facility available, please speak to reception to discuss the hiring options.

 

Laundry

Guest laundry is done on the property, and is available 24 hours a day. Laundry baskets and lists can be found in the bathroom area of your suite.

There is an easy to navigate map of the estate available in your room, should you require additional copies please contact reception by dialling 9 from your in-room telephone.

 

Mini Bar

We would be happy to stock your fridge with a selection of refreshments and alcoholic beverages for your stay. Kindly note, this service is available at an additional charge. Please contact reception to arrange your preferences.

 

Pressing

A clothes pressing service is available 24 hours per day, every day of the week. Please contact Reception by dialling 9 from your in-room telephone.

 

Privacy

A ‘Privacy Please’ sign can be found hanging behind the front door to your suite. Should you wish not to be disturbed, please hang this sign outside your door. Please note that your suite will not receive any service whilst this sign is in evidence.

 

Room Service

Our Room Service menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, prepared with the finest ingredients and delivered directly to your door. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at your leisure. Please contact Reception by dialling 9 from your in-room telephone to place your order.

 

Shuttle

Shuttle services are available for the golf course, and the spa which opens in early 2025. Please speak to reception to book a transfer.

Each suite is equipped with a HD LED screen television with remote control and iPTV digital bouquet.

Accounts

Accounts are payable on presentation, in cash or by credit card. We regret that personal or company cheques cannot be accepted. Guests staying for a period exceeding 7 days are requested to settle their accounts on a weekly basis.

Dry cleaning

Dry cleaning is done off the premises, Monday to Friday only. For a same-day service, please hand the items in before 09:00. Please contact Reception by dialing 9 on your in-room telephone to arrange your dry cleaning to be collected.

 

Electricity and voltage

The electrical supply at the hotel is 220V (AC), and power points are 3-pin, 15 Amp.

Evacuation Routes

Our Emergency Plan includes two evacuation routes leading to designated assembly areas.

  • The primary route is the preferred option and should be followed unless deemed unsafe or inaccessible.
  • The secondary route is available as an alternative if the primary route cannot be used.

 

During an evacuation, it is important to proceed swiftly yet calmly. Please follow the instructions of the designated Evacuation Officers. Keep left on walkways. Maintain single file. Please do not panic, run or evacuate beyond the designated assembly area.

Evacuations will occur when an alarm sounds and/or upon instruction from the Emergency Controller.

 

The assembly area will depend on the nature of the emergency: Assembly Area A is a safe location within the premises, such as the grassy area between the Lagoon turnstiles and the City Centre Piazza. Assembly Area B is used in more serious emergencies requiring evacuation off the premises, located on the lawns/grounds to the west of the lagoon perimeter. Please remain in your designated assembly area until further instructions are provided.

 

Green initiative

Steyn City Hotel is dedicated to maintaining a comprehensive green efficiency programme. We prioritize eco-friendly practices, such as well-managed recycling, By implementing measures to reduce single-use plastics, particularly in the packaging of stock delivered to our property, we aim to minimize our environmental footprint. Furthermore, we proudly source items produced locally, supporting local development and significantly reducing carbon emissions associated with transportation.

 

Hair Dryers

A hair dryer is provided in the drawer of the dressing table in your suite.

 

House Rules

Please keep in mind that Steyn City Hotel is located in a residential estate and that a set of house rules applies to your stay.
