I, the undersigned, do by signing, confirm that I have read and understood the conditions of residence printed hereunder. I personally (and irrespective of the capacity in which I so sign) agree to be bound by such conditions.

I, personally hold myself responsible for payment of all costs relating to my accommodation at the hotel, including, but not restricted to, room charges, the cost of all goods supplied to me, should they not be paid when they fall due.

 

Conditions of residence

  • The guest, by undersigning this registration card warrants that he is duly authorized to sign for, and behalf of all persons represented by him or for whom he is responsible (”his party”), to these conditions of residence and, failing such authority, agrees to be liable for all amounts arising from the residence of himself and his party at the hotel.
  • The guest and each of his party agree to pay not later than the time of departure unless prior written agreement has been made with hotel
  • A certification from the hotel manager shall constitute proof of debt of the guest and/or his party and of the particulars therein for all the purposes including any action instituted by the hotel against the guest and/or any of his party.
  • The guest agrees that after his departure, the hotel may retain goods left behind by him and/or his party and authorizes the hotel after giving one months notice to the address registered by the guest of its intention to do so, to sell the same, privately or publicly, at the hotels’ discretion at such price as the hotel may determine and offset proceeds of such sale against possible indebtedness of the guest or hold such proceeds or part thereof for a period of three years pending any claims by the guest for those proceeds failing which they shall be deemed to have been forfeited to the hotel.
  • The guest hereby agrees on behalf of himself and the member of this party that it is a condition of his/their occupation of the hotel premises that notwithstanding the provisions of Section 112 of the liquor act no. 130 of 1928, as amended, a copy of which is exhibited in the hotel premises and to which his attention has been directed, that the hotel/owner shall not be responsible for any injury to or death of any person of the loss or destruction of or damage to any property on the premises whether arising from fire, theft or any causes and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of the hotel.
  • Where appropriate, the masculine gender shall include the feminine gender and vice versa, and the singular shall include the plural.
  • I agree to remain personally liable for the payment of this account if the corporation of the third party fails to pay part of, or all of, these charges.

Upon arrival, a credit card authorisation of the full amount of the accommodation and an additional fee for incidentals is to be completed, unless alternative arrangements have been made for the accommodation amount. Alternatively, the full stay is to be paid upfront, and no credit facilities will be accommodated.
